I can't be the only one on the planet that has a love/hate relationship with Facebook. At least every other week I swear I am going to leave Facebook. Don't get me wrong I love it, I love looking at pictures of my friends' kids, seeing how my "real" friends that live far away from me are doing, and there is the occasional really really funny post. I absolutely HATE the posts from people that say stupid things that no one on the planet gives a crap about. I don't care that you worked out and are sore, I don't care what you harvested from your garden, and I really can't stand the vague posts that are just begging you to ask "are you ok? is something wrong?"
One thing Facebook is good for is showing you how flippin fake people are, especially people that are supposed to be friends. I am talking real friends, not the people that you haven't seen in 15 years, but the ones that you see often and your kids play together, the ones that you actually considered to be a real friend. I know sometimes things can get misconstrued because emotion, intent, etc can't be garnered from someone typing a sentence. Over time though a pattern emerges and you can clearly tell what kind of person someone is.
Well, this is my rant for this morning. I am off to go update my Facebook status with something mind-blowing like "woke up this morning, still breathing....feeling accomplished!"
Rantings from an Insane Mom!
Rantings from inside my brain. It's cheaper than therapy right?

In the beginning...
Well this is my first blog post, I am not sure where to start or what to say. I just wanted to find an outlet for all the voices that are ranting away in my head. So I hope that you will allow me to rant away since I think ranting is cheaper than a shrink!
I would like to start with a pet peeve if you will indulge me. Am I the only one on the planet that cannot stand when people at the gas station park their car in front of a pump, then exit the car and head into the store to shop for groceries for a week? I totally get it if you have to go in to pay cash for your gas (not sure how many people actually do that anymore) but why the heck can't you pump your gas and then pull into one of the vast numbers of actual parking spots. God forbid someone else is waiting to use the pump!
I guess this kind of thing goes straight to the revelation that most people just do not have common sense anymore. I am not even sure it is just common sense, but common decency. The lack of common whatever is just everywhere. Kids totally lack it and when you see or meet their parents you understand why. Adults have none. The government, sports, everyday people have none. It is really a sad state when someone exercises common sense and/or decency and it is something to take note of because it is sooo rare.
I don't want to be all negative right out of the gate, but I could go on and on. Maybe that is why I feel like I am insane and all these rantings just fly around in my head all day long. I hope that by getting them down I can become a bit more positive and have a better outlook on things.
Guess it is worth a shot.
